How to Play

Progress through the map to achieve the furthest distance. The map will scroll faster the closer you are to the edge.

Touching enemies or falling from too great a height will result in damage and temporary loss of control. Scrolling off the top, or falling off the bottom of the screen ends the run if you do not quickly return.

Collecting irises grants progress toward unlocking additional skills. After collecting a sufficient number a gold iris will appear that opens the skill menu. Collecting a gold iris also restores some health and attack charges.

Controls

Press Up/Down or W/S to navigate menus. Press Z/X or J/K to select the highlighted option.

Press Left/Right or A/D to move left or right.

Press Z, C, or J to jump. Briefly press for a short jump, hold for higher jump.

While falling, hold left or right to grab onto the edge of adjacent platforms. While hanging from a platform edge, press Up, W, or toward the platform to jump up. Press Down, S, or away from the platform to resume falling.

Hope Descending

Press X or K while airborne to make a ranged attack downward. Attacks can break cracked ground tiles.

Other actions may be unlocked as you progress.

Chaos Rising

Hold Left/Right or A/D while pressing Z, C or J to jump with momentum. While airborne, movement speed left or right is reduced.

Press X or K while holding a direction key to dash in that direction. Dashing will cancel any momentum from jumping or falling. Dashing into a cracked tile will break it.

Game Modes

Arcade, progress through an endless randomly generated map.

Time Attack, progress through a limited-length map that is the same every run. Difficulty increases faster than in Arcade mode. Attempt to get the fastest time to 1000m.

Pretty fun game!

I iiked the variety of upgrades you can unlock, cleverly named after IRyS songs.

Also, facing a new enemy for the first time is always interesting.

I couldn't get to the 1000m to unlock the other game mode, but I'm sure it's also fun.

Good game! :D
